  43. Does anyone know of a supplier for a 70cm/440 Mhz linear amp in
  44. the 150-200 watt range that can be driven with 20-30 watts?
  45. Most suppliers carry Mirage and RF Concepts amps, but only up
  46. to 100 watts output.

  58. Add to the Yaesu FT-11 features:

  60.    Alphanumeric labeling of memories and does messaging (might or might
  61.    not be important to you).

  63.    1.5 watts max power with 4.8V battery, 4W with 7.2V battery, 5W
  64.    with 9.6V battery.  With the small battery it's slightly smaller
  65.    than the TH22 but has 1.5W vs 3W for the 22.  The power difference

  68.    Lighted keypad, excellent display lighting.

  70.    Receives airband out of box, but mine has atrocious (unusable)

  181. The JSC Amateur Radio Club, W5RRR, has both, as well as an IC-781. (Thanks,
  182. Yaesu, Icom, and Kenwood, for the donations!) Of the two, to me there's no
  183. comparison: the FT-1000 is easier to operate, much less confusing, and
  184. (important to me, but maybe not to you) much more pleasant to operate full
  185. break-in CW. The Kenwood has an annoying thump on every keydown in the
  186. receiver in CW mode. 
  187. If I were buying, it'd be the Yaesu.

  216. There are two connectors on the rear panel of this radio. Need the
  217. pinout of each connector. One is power and remote TX key and I think
  218. some other functions. The other may be a remote connector as well.

  327. After reading your post I thought I'd check out my 470. Well, 
  328. after some quick tests, I got 4 W at VHF and 3.7 at UHF. I thought this seemed
  329. low, so I checked the SWR while the old coax switch was inline. It was
  330. showing 1.65 on UHF. After pulling this, and the SWR down to below 1.1:1, the
  331. numbers are 4.8W on VHF and 4.5 on UHF.

  333. This is on a 13.0 V supply into a 50ohm load thru a Yaesu YS500 V/UHF meter.
  334. I'm using "Cable experts 9913 equiv" cable, PL259 type conns.
